Mom in stiches

Well, let me first begin our first blog with an disclosure. I can not make any guarantees to how often we will update this, but we will give it our best. I guess it depends on how many kids are sick or how long the "honey do" list is.

So let me begin to telling you about our week in the Graham household. It starts with me being out town for the Football Officials State Camp, where I get a text from Melissa that says "I fell down the steps and I am in the ER...I am ok." Come to find out the Melissa was walking out the front door with Sarah in hand, when a bee was swarming. Melissa commenced to swatting, which sent her tumbling. Don't worry, Sarah was buckled in and was fine, however she did laugh while Mom was in tears. Anyway, Melissa was hurt pretty bad both physically and emotionally. It didn't help any that our wonderful neighbors (and they are) drove by thinking that Melissa was just waving in which they returned that nice gesture and continued on their way to church. This happened with 3 neighbors. Melissa was able to call her parents and her dad took her to the hospital where she got 4 stiches. She is doing just fine.

Then on Monday morning we were getting the kids ready for school and Noah begins disposing of everything inside of him. So on a day that Melissa was going to get to rest and recoup she had bathe Noah 3 times herself twice and deconatiminate the whole house. On Tuesday he was doing fine and then all the sudden that afternoon he began again. We felt so sorry for our little man, but he went to bed at 7 pm and didn't wake till the next morning where he woke up feeling fine.

We are in the middle of Awesome August at out church and Junior Hill preached last night. He preached on the passage from John 10: 9-11 "9I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." It was a very challenging service in that we are called to share our faith with others. He told a story of his older brothers funeral where he looked at his grave as they burried him and was thankful to God that he knew he would see him again in Heaven because he knew he was saved, but as they were leaving he looked and the granite tombstone where is oldest brother was laid to rest and he was sorrowed, because he knew that he would never see his oldest brother again because he was ready to surrender his life to Christ and died at the tender age of 34. You see his oldest brother was at a service where Junior was preaching and he could see his brother in the back weaping and later Junior asked him to give his life to Christ and his brother replied with I am not ready...it was 6 weeks later and his brother died. While this is a tragedy...may we all grow bold in our faith understand that the gospel came to us through someone else, so lets all be vessels for God to use and do His good work.

By the way, Melissa is doing well and the neighbor that drove by waving brought Melissa a pie Tuesday night...and it was good!!!!

Till we blog again...May God Bless You.

Good stuff my friend and welcome to the Blogging world! From your message, I guess you know which neighbor's house you have to go and throw eggs at now. I hope Melissa gets better fast. I've had your cooking before (dewinerschnitzel) and I fear for your kids safety if dad has to cook for the family.
